Industrial flooring is a coating that is designed specifically for intensive loads and difficult operating conditions. Such coatings provide resistance to mechanical damage, chemical influences and different temperature regimes. They are the basis for the smooth operation of enterprises, guaranteeing safety and durability

Types of modern industrial flooring

2. Poured floors are the ideal choice for large production areas and warehouses. They create a perfectly flat and smooth surface, while epoxy and polyurethane compounds ensure their durability.

3. Polymer Floors are highly durable and resistant to chemicals. These coatings are used in medical facilities and food production where sterility is important.

Industrial flooring price

The cost of hardwood flooring varies depending on a variety of factors:

  • Type of coating (e.g. epoxy or polyurethane);
  • The brand used and its reputation in the market;
  • The area of the property where paving is required;
  • Complexity of preparatory work

For example, facilities with heavy loads will require a reinforced coating, which may affect the final price. For a more accurate calculation, it is better to turn to the experts at our company.

The process of laying an industrial floor

The process of laying an industrial floor involves several important steps:

1. Substrate Preparation. Includes removal of old coating, dust and dirt. The substrate is primed to increase adhesion to subsequent layers.

2. Laying the flooring. This step depends on the type of floor:

  • For a concrete floor, the substrate is poured and compacted.
  • Self-leveling compound is distributed for the filler floor.
  • For polymer coating, the layers are applied sequentially: from primer to protective coating.

3. Finishing treatment. The final step is to strengthen the surface, apply a varnish or polyurethane layer to protect against wear and tear.

Industrial flooring standards

For industrial floors to meet performance standards, they must:

  • Have high strength to withstand high mechanical loads;
  • Be resistant to abrasion, especially in high-traffic areas;
  • Easy to clean off contaminants, which is important for food and pharmaceutical plants;
  • Possess anti-slip properties to ensure safety.

These qualities make flooring a versatile solution for a variety of industries.

Use of industrial flooring

Industrial flooring finds its application in a multitude of industries due to its versatility and durability. They can be found in:

1. In warehouses and logistics centers. Here, high load capacity and wear resistance to withstand the movement of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment are important.

2. In production halls. Floors must be resistant to chemicals, temperature fluctuations and mechanical damage.

3. In medical and pharmaceutical facilities. Such rooms require sterility and the floors must be easy to clean and resistant to aggressive chemicals.

4. In food processing plants. Anti-slip properties, hygiene and resistance to moisture are important here.

5. In automobile and aircraft hangars. Floors must be able to withstand the weight of machinery and be resistant to fuels, oils and other liquids.

Each of these locations has unique requirements for coatings, making choosing the right material a key step.

Industrial floor repair
X5 Group warehouse complex

The right choice of industrial flooring allows you to achieve:

Using the right material reduces wear and tear and increases the longevity of the floors

Resistance to chemicals and mechanical stresses allows for less frequent repair or replacement of the coating

Floors can be customized for specific applications such as sterility or high traffic areas

Quality coatings reduce the risk of injury through anti-slip properties and resistance to damage
