Year of realization

The Volkswagen Group Rus automobile plant in Kaluga is one of the largest projects of the foreign automobile industry in Russia.
The plant has the capacity to produce up to 225,000 vehicles per year. The plant also includes the production of engines and other components.
The Concern's investments in the project reached a record 370 million euros, which emphasized the strategic importance of the enterprise for the Russian market

The customer set the task to perform detailed laser scanning of the territory and create a highly accurate geodetic network on an area of 44,000 m². The work required maximum accuracy for further analysis of infrastructure objects and integration of data into the BIM model

We focused on high accuracy of geodetic measurements, promptness of work execution and compliance with global BIM standards. An important task was to create a reliable geodetic network, which will be the basis for further engineering solutions of the facility

TRIMBLE X7 system was used for laser scanning, which allows to obtain detailed 3D models with high speed and accuracy. Advanced data processing methods were used to ensure accurate positioning of objects and integration with BIM technologies

1. Preparation and planning of works, identification of key points for geodetic network creation

2. Conducting laser scanning

3. data processing, 3D-model and point geodetic network generation

4. Transfer of finished geodetic data and recommendations to the customer for further use
