"Mira Center" is a space of creativity and inspiration in the heart of Suzdal. Modern architecture here is carefully woven into the historical environment, creating a unique place for art and communication. Laconic forms and natural materials make the space cozy and functional, while the architectural concrete floor emphasizes the aesthetics of the center, combining durability and tactile expressiveness

As part of the Mira Center project, we were asked to create and install an architectural concrete floor with a specific focus on improving the anti-slip properties and durability of the surface. Because concrete pavements can be subjected to stresses and environmental influences, it was important to ensure reliable traction with footwear and long-term use without compromising the visual integrity and aesthetic qualities of the surface

An architectural concrete floor is a floor made of concrete using a variety of treatments such as boucharding, polishing, grinding, and the addition of decorative elements (such as colored aggregates or pigments) to give it individuality and visual appeal. Architectural concrete floors are often used in commercial, industrial, and residential applications due to their durability, longevity, and ability to create unique decorative solutions

1. Surface preparation
Before laying architectural concrete, it is important to clean the substrate of dirt, dust, and old coatings and level the surface to ensure a good bond with the new pavement
2. Preparation of concrete mix
Architectural floors use a specially prepared concrete mix with pigments or decorative elements added to give the desired color or texture
3. Paving of concrete pavement
With the help of modern technology and equipment, concrete is applied and evenly distributed over the surface. Special attention is paid to preventing cracks and defects
4. surface treatment
After laying, the process of boucharding, polishing or sanding begins, depending on the desired texture and appearance. This helps to achieve both an anti-slip effect and aesthetic appeal
5. Texture shaping
A texture is created, which can be either smooth or embossed. It is important that the texture not only enhances the appearance, but also provides the necessary traction for safe movement
6. Finalizing the process
After treatment is completed, the floor is coated with a protective layer to increase its resistance to dirt, mechanical damage and environmental influences (including moisture and frost)
7. Surface protection
After treatment and laying of the coating, it is recommended to apply a protective agent to increase water repellency and prevent staining or damage
This approach to installing architectural concrete flooring has helped create a quality, durable and safe surface that will last a long time without losing its performance and visual characteristics
