Modern underground and surface parking lots are not just sites for storing cars, but engineering structures with high safety and reliability requirements. Daily loads from hundreds of cars, temperature fluctuations, moisture and aggressive chemicals - all this destroys concrete and polymer floors. In such conditions, ordinary smooth flooring quickly loses its performance properties. One of the effective solutions for parking lots has become a "coat" type coating - a textured surface that provides improved traction of wheels with the floor, reduces the risk of accidents and increases the service life of the structure

How a "coat" improves safety and service life

The main value of the epoxy-quartz non-slip coating lies in its textured structure. The textured surface increases the coefficient of grip, which means that cars are less likely to slip even in wet or skidding conditions. This is especially important in winter, when snow and ice are brought into the parking lot, as well as in rainy seasons.

In addition, the "coat" is resistant to abrasion. Sand particles, dirt and reagents hitting the surface with wheels do not destroy it as quickly as smooth coatings. An additional advantage is its durability: a properly installed layer retains its working properties for years without requiring frequent repairs.

Equally important is the fact that the "fur coat" ensures comfortable movement of machinery inside the parking lot. Drivers feel more confident, and the facility itself becomes safer for users. For parking lot owners, this means lower maintenance costs and increased attractiveness of the facility for tenants and visitors.

Stages of the "fur coat" coating

The technology of non-slip coating on parking lots requires precise adherence to the sequence of stages of surface treatment and professional equipment.

1. surface grinding. In the first stage, the concrete substrate is treated with a planetary grinder. This removes irregularities, opens concrete pores and prepares the surface for the next stage.

2- Dusting. After mechanical treatment, it is important to thoroughly remove dust and fine debris. For this purpose, an industrial vacuum cleaner is used to ensure that the substrate is clean.

3. Priming. A two-component epoxy primer is applied to the cleaned concrete to improve adhesion and strengthen the surface.

4. Sprinkling with quartz sand. While the ground is fresh, the surface is evenly sprinkled with coarse-grained quartz sand. This creates a textural layer and is responsible for the anti-slip properties.

5. Rolling with rollers. For a denser embedding of sand in the substrate, the surface is additionally rolled with rollers. This guarantees the uniformity of the coating and its durability.

This approach produces a strong, textured layer that withstands high mechanical loads and maintains its performance characteristics for a long time.

What is the result of non-compliance with technology

Even the most reliable technology will fail if the rules of its execution are not followed.

A common mistake is insufficient preparation of the substrate: if the concrete is not sanded and dusted, the soil and sand are not properly anchored, and the coating quickly begins to peel.

It is also dangerous to use low-quality materials or to replace coarse quartz sand with finer sand - in this case the anti-slip properties are lost.

Another risk is associated with incorrect rolling: if the sand is not evenly embedded in the priming layer, the surface is loose and short-lived.

All these mistakes lead to accelerated wear of the coating, the appearance of chips and the need for expensive repairs after a short time. That is why it is so important to entrust the device "coat" to professionals who strictly follow the technology at every stage.

"Shuba" and alternative solutions

The market offers several options for parking lot coatings, each with its own characteristics.

1. Smooth polymer coatings. Their main advantage is aesthetics and ease of cleaning. However, in wet conditions they become slippery, which increases the risk of accidents and injuries.

2. concrete with hardener. A sufficiently durable and budget solution that can withstand heavy loads. Minus - limited anti-slip properties and gradual abrasion of the top layer.

3. Rubber crumb coatings. They provide softness and noise reduction, but do not have sufficient resistance to automobile loads and quickly deteriorate under the influence of reagents.

Against these solutions, the "coat" is the middle ground: it combines the strength and durability of concrete with the safety and adhesion provided by the textured layer. This makes it the optimal choice for parking lots where safety and operational reliability are paramount.

Why this solution is beneficial to your parking lot:

The textured coat surface reduces the risk of skidding and accidents, making the parking lot safer for drivers and pedestrians. Additional traction is especially important when cornering and braking.

Thanks to the correct technology, the coating device provides resistance to mechanical loads, moisture and chemical reagents. This approach allows to maintain performance characteristics even under intensive use.

Reducing the frequency of repairs and extending the service life of the pavement allows owners to make significant savings on facility maintenance. As a result, investment in the "coat" pays for itself faster than in alternative solutions.

"Shuba" combines the durability of concrete with the anti-slip properties of a textured layer, making it a versatile solution. This is especially valuable for facilities with increased traffic and high traffic flow.
